Pipeline Steel Plate
Pipeline steel plate is a specialized steel grade used for manufacturing pipelines that transport oil, natural gas, and other energy resources. It serves as the "main artery" of the modern energy industry. Among its forms, medium and heavy plate is the core raw material for producing large-diameter, high-pressure, high-safety longitudinal welded pipes. Unlike hot-rolled coils (used for spiral welded pipes), medium and heavy plate offers greater wall thickness and superior dimensional accuracy, making it suitable for high-pressure, high-grade (e.g., X80 and above) long-distance transmission pipelines.

High Strength for High-Pressure Transmission
Through microalloying and Thermo-Mechanical Controlled Processing (TMCP), the strength of pipeline steel has advanced from the early X52 to X80 (in mass production) and even X100 (in thousand-ton trial production). Higher strength allows pipelines to operate at elevated pressures, significantly improving transmission efficiency.

Maintains high impact energy at temperatures as low as -20°C or even -60°C, ensuring safe operation in cold regions.

For sour media containing H₂S, HIC/SSCC-resistant (Hydrogen-Induced Cracking / Sulfide Stress Corrosion Cracking) acid-resistant pipeline steel has been developed. This grade demands extremely high steel cleanliness.
